Oppressed Palestinians Still Face Injustice: Allama Sajid Ali Naqvi

Shiite News: In his message on the International Day for Tolerance on November 16, Allama Sajid Ali Naqvi said that even today, Palestinians in Gaza are enduring extreme oppression. He said tolerance is a universal human need, yet even after eight decades, true global tolerance is nowhere to be seen.
He said the United Nations has failed to put its own house in order, as powerful states have weakened the institution’s credibility. Regions like Palestine remain tragic examples of intolerance and unchecked aggression. Had global powers restrained Zionist brutality, the world would have been a more peaceful place.
He emphasized that all religions—especially Islam—stress tolerance and coexistence, as strongly highlighted in the Quran and Sunnah. Tolerance is the element that brings balance and harmony to societies.
Allama Naqvi noted that the UN was created to protect human rights and prevent oppression, but it has failed in fulfilling its basic mission. He urged that the UN must act as a neutral platform rather than serving the interests of powerful nations.
He added that even the principle of amr bil ma’ruf wa nahi anil munkar begins with tolerance, and governments must take responsibility for promoting it. A tolerant society is key to development and stability.
He reminded that November 16 is observed globally to promote the message of understanding, compassion, and coexistence.
