Opposition Parties to Launch Nationwide Protests Against Violation of Constitution, Senator Nasir Abbas
Shiite News: Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan Chief and Vice Chairman of Tehreek Tahafuz-e-Ayeen Pakistan, Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, addressed the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Peace Jirga, highlighting that global power is shifting from the West to the East.
He said peace in Pakistan and South Asia is integral to peace in the entire Eastern world, but Western powers are attempting to delay or obstruct this transition. “The global establishment has never tolerated popular leadership—such leaders were either killed or defamed,” he remarked.
Allama Raja Nasir lamented that successive governments worsened public hardships instead of solving them. “The February 8, 2024 elections reflected people’s rejection of the forces that exploited power at the nation’s expense,” he stated.
He condemned the disregard for the rule of law across Pakistan, saying those who trample the Constitution are responsible for the country’s devastation from Karachi to Gilgit-Baltistan.
He termed the Islamabad constitutional amendment an “assassination of the Constitution” and criticized lawmakers for failing to enact any pro-people legislation.
He announced a nationwide protest campaign beginning Friday after congregational prayers in mosques to awaken public consciousness and mobilize support for the protection of the Constitution.
