Banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi’s Deadly Commander Killed in Joint Operation in Karak
Shiite News: According to Express News, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in collaboration with the district police and civilian intelligence agencies, carried out a joint targeted operation in the Ambiri Kalla area of Karak. During the four-hour-long encounter, the highly wanted commander of the banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Nisar Hakeem, was killed.
The terrorist commander, described as a dangerous ringleader of the fitna-e-khawarij (rebellious extremists), was involved in inter-provincial terrorist activities. Security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from his possession. Four police personnel sustained minor injuries during the exchange of fire.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zulfiqar Hameed, lauded the CTD, Karak Police, and all law enforcement agencies for the successful operation. He praised the bravery of the security forces, saying, “Our courageous sons have risked their lives to crush the designs of terrorists.”
He added that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police stand as a solid wall against terrorism, ensuring the protection of citizens’ lives and maintaining peace in the province.
