Opposition Leader Kazim Meesam Convenes MWM GB Political Council

Shiite News: Opposition Leader in the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly and Parliamentary Leader of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Gilgit-Baltistan, Kazim Meesam, has called an online meeting of the party’s Political Council to formally consult on the nomination of the caretaker chief minister.
According to party sources, the MWM GB Political Council will hold detailed consultations with the party’s Central Secretary for Political Affairs and MWM GB President, Agha Ali Rizvi, regarding key matters related to the caretaker setup.
The meeting will also finalize the party’s strategy in light of the upcoming session convened by the Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs. The Political Council is expected to lay down fundamental principles and deliberate on the names of prominent, capable, and honest personalities suitable for the caretaker position.
In addition to the party consultation, Opposition Leader Kazim Meesam will also hold discussions with the joint opposition members in the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly. After completing consultations with the party and opposition, a final recommendation will be presented before the federal minister.
