Shiite News: President of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Karachi Division, Allama Sadiq Jafari, expressed deep concern and sorrow over the ongoing civil war, humanitarian catastrophe, and horrific atrocities being committed against the oppressed people of Sudan.
He said that for the past two years, intense clashes between rival military factions, particularly in Darfur and Al-Fashir, have devastated the entire country.
Thousands of innocent civilians, women, and children have been killed or displaced, while millions are forced to live in camps without food, water, or medical care. Hospitals, places of worship, and residential areas are being indiscriminately targeted.
He said the situation is a blatant violation of human rights, international law, and Islamic values.
Allama Jafari demanded that the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the African Union, and human rights organizations immediately intervene to enforce a ceasefire and open humanitarian corridors for aid delivery.
He called for transparent investigations into the mass killings and war crimes, and urged the deployment of a UN-led peace mission to ensure the safety of civilians.
He said the global conscience must awaken so that the world stands with the oppressed people of Sudan rather than remaining silent spectators.
He further said that Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen firmly believes that raising a voice against oppression and tyranny anywhere in the world is a moral and religious duty.
The oppressed people of Sudan today await the united support of the Muslim Ummah. He reaffirmed MWM’s commitment to be their voice and to continue humanitarian and moral support at every level, stating that “we stand with the oppressed of Sudan; indeed, the palaces of oppression will one day tremble, and the dawn of justice shall rise.”
