Bannu: Seven Lashkar-e-Jhangvi Militants Killed in Police and CTD Joint Operation

Shiite News: At least seven terrorists belonging to the banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi were killed in a joint operation by police and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in the Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to DPO Saleem Kalachi, the operation was launched in the Mamand Khel area of Bannu Cantt, when terrorists opened fire on law enforcement personnel conducting a search operation.
In the intense exchange of fire, one police constable, Abid Khan, embraced martyrdom, while seven personnel and four civilians sustained injuries.
The funeral prayers of the martyred officer were offered with full official honors at Police Lines Bannu, attended by officials from Pakistan Army, police, and the victim’s family.
DPO Kalachi said that operations against terrorists have been intensified, and the region has been placed on high security alert to ensure the elimination of remaining threats.
