Five Policemen Injured in Terrorist Attack by Banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi

Shiite News: Five policemen were injured when terrorists belonging to the banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) targeted the convoy of the District Police Officer (DPO) in North Waziristan.
According to police sources, the attack occurred in the Mamash Khel area along the Bannu–Miran Shah Road. The terrorists ambushed the DPO’s squad with automatic weapons. Fortunately, DPO Waqar Ahmed remained unhurt, while five of his security personnel sustained injuries.
The wounded officers were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, while additional police contingents rushed to the site to conduct a search operation. Officials confirmed that the attackers managed to flee under the cover of darkness.
Police described the incident as an act of anti-state and sectarian extremist elements operating under foreign influence. A large-scale combing operation is underway in the surrounding areas to locate the perpetrators.
