Punjab Hands Over 40 Mosques and Offices Linked to Banned TLP to Auqaf Department

Shiite News: The Punjab government has taken control of around 40 mosques and offices affiliated with the banned Takfiri terrorist organization Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), temporarily placing them under the supervision of the provincial Auqaf Department.
According to the provincial administration, the move was deemed essential to maintain public safety and restore law and order amid concerns of extremist influence.
Authorities have deployed additional security around the seized sites and initiated a comprehensive crackdown involving arrests of TLP leaders, financiers, and suspected operatives. Their properties and bank accounts are also being frozen under anti-terrorism measures.
Officials confirmed that these operations will continue as part of an intelligence-based and legal strategy aimed at dismantling the group’s network, curbing its influence, and preventing further acts of violence and unrest.
