Dars Alone is Not Enough; Intellectual and Political Awakening is Essential: Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri

Shiite News: In Qom al-Muqaddas, at Hawza Ilmiyya Saqlain, a significant scholarly session was held where Chairman of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan, Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, delivered an insightful and inspiring address to students and scholars.
He advised seminary students not to rely solely on traditional studies but to also develop intellectual, social, and political awareness to lead the Ummah effectively.
Allama Raja Nasir emphasized piety, discipline, continuous study, and good morals as the foundation of a true scholar.
Quoting the hadith “The scholar must be aware of his time”, he said that students must not only learn religious sciences but also understand modern challenges obstructing the path of Islamic civilization.
He highlighted that obedience to the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, is obligatory during the period of occultation, as exemplified by Hezbollah’s success.
Allama Nasir Abbas urged students to set clear goals, adopt strategic planning, and prepare themselves as future helpers of Imam Mahdi (A.S.) for the establishment of Islamic civilization.
He concluded by advising them to cherish their stay in Qom, strengthen ties with teachers, and focus on social and moral reform upon returning to their homeland.
