Gilgit: Terrorists of Banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi Martyred Security Guard of Shia Cleric

Shiite News: In a fresh act of terrorism aimed at provoking sectarian unrest, armed militants belonging to the banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi martyred the security guard of a well-known Shia cleric in Gilgit.
According to local reports, the attack occurred only three days after an assault on Ahle-e-Sunnat members, which had been widely condemned by all religious schools of thought. Observers believe the latest attack is a deliberate attempt by Takfiri extremists to sabotage peace and stability in the region.
Residents expressed outrage and demanded strict action against terrorist networks, questioning the inaction of law enforcement agencies. “How long will these banned outfits be allowed to operate freely and endanger communal harmony?” asked a local activist.
