Senator Mushtaq Ahmed released from Israeli custody

Shiite News: Israeli forces have released former Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Mushtaq Ahmed, who was involved in Samud Flotilla. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed the release of the former senator in his post on the social networking website ‘X’ and said that I am happy to inform you that former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed has been released.

He said that Senator Mushtaq Ahmed is now safe in the Pakistani Embassy in Oman, and the embassy is ready to help Mushtaq Ahmed return as per his wishes and convenience.

He added that he thanked all friendly countries that supported the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan and provided all possible assistance.

It should be noted that former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Samood was part of the flotilla convoy that was trying to deliver humanitarian aid to the besieged people of Gaza. According to the Jordanian official news agency, 131 Samood Flotilla workers have reached Jordan after being released from Israel.
