Three accused arrested for demanding extortion from JDC chief Zafar Abbas

Shiite News: In Karachi, police carried out a major operation and arrested three accused involved in demanding huge extortion money from JDC Foundation Chief, Zafar Abbas.
According to the details, the accused had demanded Rs 140 million per month and Rs 1.64 billion per year from Zafar Abbas. Acting on intelligence, law enforcement agencies arrested the suspects who were threatening the JDC head with dire consequences in case of non-payment.
Police confirmed that the arrested individuals have been taken into custody and further investigation is underway to uncover their network and possible links to organized crime or militant outfits.
Authorities have vowed strict action against those attempting to extort humanitarian organizations.
