64,000 martyrs and millions of homeless in Gaza, when will the international community wake up?, Ishaq Dar
Shiite News: Addressing a meeting on the Middle East and the Palestinian issue in New York, Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said that the Palestinian people are suffering unspeakable losses of life every day, their homes, settlements and infrastructure have been destroyed, while the social structure has been shattered.
He revealed that so far more than 64,000 Palestinians have been martyred and more than 100,000 injured, while Gaza is on the verge of famine and half a million people are at risk of hunger. In addition, three hundred thousand Palestinians have been displaced and another one million are at risk of being displaced.
Ishaq Dar said that serious human rights violations and flouting of international laws are being committed in Gaza. He called the illegal settlements in the West Bank and the E-1 project a clear violation of international law.
He urged the international community to bring Israel to justice as the time for talk is over, now is the time for action.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan said that Pakistan welcomes the conference on the two-state solution for Palestine by Saudi Arabia and France and reiterates its unwavering support for the Palestinian people.
