2 terrorists including the mastermind of Kamra Airbase attack arrested from Karachi: CTD

Counter terrorism department has arrested two terrorists including the mastermind of Kamra Airbase attack during a raid at MPR colony.

SSP Counter terrorism department Junaid Sheikh, during a press conference, told that a raid was done on a house in MPR colony, Orangi town in which two terrorists have been arrested. The mastermind of Kamra Airbase attack Umar Hayat (also known as Muawiyah) was is also among the arrested terrorists. According to SSP Junaid Sheikh, the terrorist Umar Hayat is Karachi’s Ameer of of Afghanistan’s ‘Tanzeem e Tehreek Amarat Islamia’. He also prepared two suicide bombers for another attack on Kamra Airbase who couldn’t attack due to security at the Airbus.

SSP CTD told that terrorists had planned a large terrorist attack in Karachi, on the occasion of EId-ul-Azha and the raid was conducted on secret intelligence report. 2 Suicide jackets, 2 bombs and a large number of bullets were found from terrorists’ possession. SSP said that the terrorists were running their own network with 20 terrorists. Raids have started upon terrorists’ identification in Qasba, Orangi town, Katti Pahari, Manghopir and other areas.
