Imam Khomeini’s Wisdom Foiled Colonial Conspiracies: Friday Sermon in Skardu

Shiite News: Deputy Friday Prayer Leader of Skardu, Allama Sheikh Hasan Sarwari, in his Friday sermon, emphasized that the great leader Imam Khomeini endowed the Muslim Ummah with wisdom and foresight that the world now recognizes.
Declaring 12–17 Rabi-ul-Awwal as Hafta-e-Wahdat (Week of Unity and Brotherhood), he gave a unifying message to the Islamic world. “The colonial powers’ conspiracies to divide the Ummah failed before Imam Khomeini’s vision,” he stated.
Highlighting Imam Khomeini’s historic decisions, Allama Sarwari recalled the declaration of the last Friday of Ramadan as Al-Quds Day to keep the Palestinian issue alive, and the famous fatwa against blasphemer Salman Rushdie, which sent a clear message that the sanctity of the Prophet ﷺ is non-negotiable.
Expressing solidarity with the oppressed in Gaza, he said the only practical and steadfast support for them is the system established by Imam Khomeini through the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
He also praised the constructive role of Anjuman Imamia Baltistan under the leadership of Allama Sheikh Hasan Jafari, President Agha Syed Baqir Hussaini, and the business community of Baltistan in social and religious welfare efforts.
Concluding his sermon, Allama Sarwari appealed for contributions to the Anjuman Imamia’s flood relief campaign. “If every family member donates even 50 rupees, we can establish a strong relief fund,” he urged, stressing that many people have lost homes, lands, and livestock, and it is the community’s duty to support them.
