Shiite News: Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, in his message on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali ibn Musa Raza (AS) (17 Safar al-Muzaffar 203 AH), said that titles such as Raza, Sabir, Razi, Wafi and Zaki have been mentioned for Hazrat Ali ibn Musa (AS).

He said that based on a hadith in the book I’lam al-Wara written by Fazl ibn Hassan Tabarsi, Imam Kazim (AS) has given him the title of “Alim al-Muhammad”.

Imam Rauf is also called by titles such as Gharib al-Ghuraba and Tamin al-A’immah (Eighth Imam). His most famous title is “Raza”.

Following the martyrdom of his father, Imam Musa al-Kazim (A.S.), Imam al-Rida (A.S.) shouldered the responsibilities of Imamate in extremely difficult and challenging circumstances to strengthen the foundations of Islam and to spread the teachings of his noble grandfather, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Given his elevated status and greatness, even political opponents of the time had no choice but to include him in matters of governance and seek his counsel.

Accepting this position for the supremacy of religion and the greater good of the Muslim Ummah, Imam al-Rida (A.S.) provided guidance and leadership to the Islamic world and humanity.
In debates, he refuted leading deviants of the era, and in medicine, he made significant contributions, setting directions for humanity’s benefit.

His sayings, rich in knowledge and wisdom, offer guiding principles on politics, governance, sociology, social reform, human welfare, medicine, and the superiority of the true faith over other religions.

Allama Naqvi emphasized that by adopting the lifestyle and character of the Holy Imams (A.S.), Muslims can achieve both worldly and eternal salvation.

Studying the pure life of Imam al-Rida (A.S.) and following his teachings can help shape lives according to the principles of Islam. The shrine of the Eighth Imam, who was martyred by poison, remains in Mashhad as a center of devotion for millions.
