State Minister Talal Chaudhry apologizes for difficulties faced by Zaireen

Shiite News: The federal government has taken a stand on the difficulties faced by Arbaeen pilgrims and admitted that the pilgrims faced severe inconvenience due to the closure of the land route, for which the government apologizes.

Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry said in his statement:

“The closure of the land route is only for this year, best arrangements will be made for Arbaeen pilgrims from next year.”

He said that after discussions with the Iraqi government, progress has been made on extending the visa period, and: the validity of the Iraqi visa will be extended by 60 days so that the pilgrims have more time and convenience.”

Talal Chaudhry also announced that the students who are at the borders will be immediately sent to Iran so that their holy journey can continue.

Furthermore, the federal government has approved several measures regarding air travel, saying: The pilgrims will be provided with highly discounted tickets from airlines

A special flight operation is being launched for those pilgrims who have Iraqi visas and wanted to go by land. This operation will be launched before Arbaeen, efforts will be made to transport all the pilgrims to Iraq in the month of Safar.

To permanently resolve the problems of the pilgrims, the government has also decided to form a high-level committee, which will include representatives of the Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen and the Shia Ulema Council. This committee will monitor the implementation of all promises and will be in constant contact with government institutions.

Minister of State Talal Chaudhry assured that the government is taking the problems of pilgrims seriously and all measures will be implemented in a timely manner.
