Shiite News: Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi has said in his message on the birth anniversary of the seventh Imam, Hazrat Musa Kazim (AS) (7 Safar Al-Muzaffar 128 AH) that Hazrat Imam Musa bin Jafar was the heir and trustee of all the qualities, virtues, characteristics, talents and perfections of his father, Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS).

He possessed knowledge and patience, high moral qualities and a unique position in worship and service of God. His teknonym was Abul-Hasan and his title was Kazim.

Adorned with the training and sciences and arts received from his father, he continued to perform the duty of leading and guiding humanity. This is the reason why, in difficult and unfavorable circumstances, Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS) entrusted all the duties of his succession.

Allama Sajid Naqvi further said that despite his academic prowess and artistic glory, Hazrat Musa bin Jafar (AS) devoted most of his attention to worship, asceticism and preaching the religion.

This is the reason why when he realized that the deviant forces of that time were engaged in nefarious efforts to distort the beliefs and ideologies of Islam, he did not hesitate to raise the voice of truth against them.

He had to face the hardships of imprisonment for many years as a reward for his reformist efforts and ultimately, while enduring these same hardships, the martyrdom of the true Imam took place.

Allama Sajid Naqvi said that Imam Musa Kazim (AS) was the best example of noble qualities like generosity, vision and generosity.

The famous historian Khairuddin Zarkali writes: “He was one of the greatest scholars, he was one of the greatest scholars who were adorned with the attribute of generosity.” Similarly, Imam Dhahabi writes: “Musa was one of the best of the wise, that is, Musa Kazim was one of the best of the wise.”

He urged the Muslim Ummah to follow the noble path of Hazrat Imam Musa Kazim (a.s.) and strive to protect Islam, revive Islamic values, and thwart the conspiracies of the enemies of Islam, and to strengthen their internal unity.

Allama Sajid Naqvi said that if on this path one has to endure the hardships of imprisonment or embrace death, then be ready for it because hardships and martyrdom are the cause of the rise of nations.

Some of the important sayings included in his commandments are:

“Do not refrain from spending money in obedience to God, otherwise it will be spent twice as much in disobedience to God.”

“He who does not always hold himself accountable is not one of us.”

“Just as agriculture thrives in soft soil rather than hard soil, so knowledge and wisdom thrive in the heart of a humble person, not in that of the arrogant and proud.”
