IOF Kills Palestinian Youth and Seizes Bodies Amid West Bank Unrest

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) shot and killed 27-year-old Mohamed al-Jamal on Monday evening at the northern entrance of al-Khalil City, located in the southern West Bank. The IOF has since taken possession of his body, claiming that al-Jamal had thrown a stone at their forces during an operational activity.

The Palestinian health ministry reported the death of another young man, 31-year-old Awda al-Haddalin, early Tuesday morning. Al-Haddalin succumbed to severe bullet wounds inflicted by settler in the hamlet of Khirbet Umm al-Khair in Masafer Yatta. He was reportedly shot during an assault by settlers on Palestinian villagers, with the attack occurring under occupation military protection.
Witnesses say al-Haddalin was abducted by Israeli occupation forces while bleeding from his injuries before his death was confirmed. In a related incident, another Palestinian suffered severe injuries during the settlers’ attack and was rushed to Yatta Hospital for treatment.

The IOF is also conducting a widespread arrest campaign across the West Bank, detaining multiple Palestinian citizens. Reports indicate that three young men were abducted during nighttime raids in Arura, northwest of Ramallah, while additional arrests occurred in Beitunia, Qalandia refugee camp, and Bethlehem. At least 13 individuals were detained in Tulkarem, during which it’s been reported that detainees and local citizens were assaulted by IOF.
The situation escalated further in al-Khalil, where IOF abducted additional citizens from the city and al-Fawwar refugee camp. Raids were also reported in Tubas and Salfit, where citizens were injured and others taken into custody.
In separate incidents, Israeli occupation authorities executed demolitions in the Silwan district of East Jerusalem, citing unlicensed construction as the reason. Local sources reported that bulldozers demolished property belonging to residents, including a car wash and various structures.

In a large-scale effort to displace Palestinian communities, Israeli occupation authorities also launched demolition campaigns in several villages within the Negev, confiscating equipment and issuing evacuation notices to local residents, claiming their presence is illegal.
