Increasing electricity, gas, petrol prices is brutality, Allama Ahmed Iqbal Rizvi

Shiite News: Vice Chairman Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Pakistan Allama Syed Ahmed Iqbal Rizvi has said in a statement that the federal government’s anti-people decisions like ruthless increase in electricity, gas and petrol prices, carbon levy and debit service surcharge are tantamount to pouring salt on the wounds of the poor people.

Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Pakistan strongly condemns these cruel measures and makes it clear that this corrupt, incompetent and insensitive ruling clique is bent on squeezing the blood of the people.

The country’s poor workers, students, laborers and white-clad class are fighting for survival in the storm of inflation, while the rulers’ lavish spending, protocols, government ships, convoys and luxurious palaces are further adding to the suffering of the people.

These are the hypocritical faces who make fake smiles and false claims in front of the nation, but behind the scenes are busy enjoying luxury on the earnings of the people.

These rulers who bow their heads in slavery to the IMF are the people’s criminals. Taking loans and putting their burden on the poor people only and filling their own coffers is blatant dishonesty and callousness.

The people’s patience is now about to end and the entire responsibility for the seriousness of the situation will fall on this corrupt and self-serving group.

The end of this anti-people economic agenda and hypocritical style of governance will be instructive.

History will never forgive rulers who take away the rights of the people and mortgage the future of the country for their own luxuries and the pleasure of foreign masters.
