Shiite News: Member of National Assembly and Parliamentary Leader of Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen from Parachinar, Engineer Hameed Hussain says that despite the peace agreement and peace treaty, the closure of roads is illogical and frustrating.

The government should take immediate steps to open the roads and make the main highway safe and open it on a permanent basis.

Millions of people have been facing continuous difficulties due to the closure of roads in Parachinar, the headquarters of Kurram district, and other areas for six months.

Internet service, 3G and 4G have also been shut down across the district for a long time. The affected people have asked the government and security agencies what crime they are being punished for? When will they be freed from the punishment for their uncommitted sins?

Due to firing incidents and clashes, the main highway and other transportation routes have been closed for the past six months, making people feel restless every moment.

People have been trapped in their own free area. Citizens have also been deprived of food and medical treatment.

A protest sit-in has been going on outside the Parachinar Press Club for five weeks against the confinement of millions of people in their own area and the failure to open the routes.

Social leader Mussarat Bangash says that the sit-in will continue until the routes are opened and the victims of unrest receive an aid package.

Due to the closure of the routes, people’s problems are increasing with each passing day. Deaths are occurring due to lack of better treatment.

People are also deprived of food and drink. In such a situation, Additional Deputy Commissioner Aamir Nawaz says that the elders should cooperate in establishing peace. Steps are being taken to restore trust between the parties and open the routes.
