Shiite News: A Pakistani citizen Syed Sajawal Abbas Naqvi, who had gone to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah after performing the holy pilgrimages of Iran and Iraq, was taking photos in front of the fasting Prophet (PBUH) in the Prophet’s Mosque when the security personnel of the shrine arrested Syed Sajawal Abbas Naqvi.

And when he was searched, Syed Sajawal Abbas Naqvi was subjected to the worst torture after finding some photos of martyr Syed Hassan Nasrallah in his mobile and was forced to confess that he was an Iranian agent and had come to Saudi Arabia to spy.

Based on this allegation, Pakistani Shia pilgrim Syed Sajawal Abbas Naqvi was kept in a Saudi jail for more than 15 days on the basis of mere suspicion, while he was subjected to inhuman torture on a daily basis.

Meanwhile, with the help of his family and a strong recommendation, Syed Sajawal Abbas Naqvi was finally released from Saudi jail with the efforts of the Pakistani embassy.

Such treatment of Pakistani pilgrims by the Al Saud government, which occupies the holy land of Hijaz, is a very worrying act.

The Pakistani Foreign Office should immediately consider this matter as a test case and strongly question the Saudi authorities for such ill-treatment of Pakistani citizens.

The inhuman and unfair treatment of Pakistani pilgrims by the Al Saud government is a clear proof of the hypocritical policies and practices of Saudi Arabia.
