Four people including Maulana Hamidul Haq killed in suicide blast in Akora Khattak

Shiite News: According to media reports, according to the IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, four people were killed in a suicide blast, including Maulana Hamidul Haq.

An investigation into the suicide blast has been launched, and forensic teams have collected evidence from the scene.

As soon as the information about the blast was received, a large contingent of police reached the spot, while rescue teams and locals removed the debris and rescued the injured. Police officials say that the blast was a suicide.

According to Express News, a senior police officer said that Maulana Hamidul Haq was targeted in the blast.

Maulana Hamidul Haq was targeted in the area adjacent to the mosque. 23 police personnel were deployed on duty at the Akora Khattak Madrasa.

6 police personnel were provided for Maulana Hamidul Haq’s security. The Madrasa administration also provided security at the entry gates of the Akora Khattak Madrasa.

A statement issued by the Central Police Office confirmed that the Akora Khattak blast was a suicide attack.

Maulana Hamidul Haq was seriously injured in the blast, who later succumbed to his injuries. The attacker entered the mosque through the gate. The injured are being shifted to the hospital from the scene.
