Gilgit-Baltistan parliamentary delegation visits Iranian Parliament’s Institute of Legislation

Shiite News: At the special invitation of the Iranian Parliament, Opposition Leader Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly Muhammad KazIm Maisam, Member GB Council and Political Secretary Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Gilgit-Baltistan Sheikh Ahmad Ali Noori, Member of Assembly Syed Sohail Abbas and Member of Assembly Wazir Muhammad Saleem visited the Institute of Legislation and Research of the Iranian Parliament.

The head of the Research Institute of Legislation of the Iranian Parliament was present on the occasion. He gave a detailed briefing on the legislation being made in the Iranian Parliament and its procedures.

He said that the said institution is the basic and central institution of the parliament, before bringing any act from the assembly, various experts review its technical nature.

After reviewing, a pilot project is conducted before presenting the law in the assembly and public opinion is also sought.

After that, it is tabled in the assembly and after going through various stages, it takes the form of a law. The parliamentary delegation of Gilgit-Baltistan was also welcomed upon coming at the special invitation of the institution.

The opposition leader and members of the assembly said that the cultural and historical heritage of Iran and Pakistan spans centuries.

By improving the relations between the two countries, the construction and development of the region can be ensured.

The opposition leader said that it is advisable to start transferring parliamentary experiences and observations of the two countries.

Parliament is the basic institution of any country that the people trust. Parliamentary traditions in Pakistan are even older than Iran. In this regard, the two countries need to take steps to exchange more parliamentary experiences.
