Lashkar-e-Jhangvi’s most wanted terrorist dies in Lakki Marwat

Shiite News: DPO District Lakki Muhammad Jawad Ishaq received information that notorious Lashkar-e-Jhangvi terrorist Rehanullah alias Muntazar Ashna son of Naqeebullah resident of Marmandi Azam was present at a location along with his other associates.

On this, the Special Squad of Lakki District Police launched a search operation against the terrorists during which the terrorists opened fire on the police.

The exchange of fire between the police and the terrorists continued for more than half an hour.

A terrorist was killed, who was later identified as the most wanted local commander and Rehanullah, while his other associates were arrested.

The slain terrorist was wanted by the police and CTD Bannu in other serious cases including the assassination of Pakistan Army Lieutenant Arifullah Khan in a mosque, target killings, extortion, bomb blasts and attacks on police.

The police have also recovered AK-47, magazines and hand grenades from the possession of the slain terrorist.

A heavy contingent of police was already deployed and the police were on high alert throughout the district, so they retaliated in time and eliminated the notorious terrorist.

Lakki Marwat is one of the most insurgent-affected districts of North Waziristan, along with Kurram, Bannu and DI Khan.

After the withdrawal of ISAF forces from the war-torn country, there was a sudden increase in terrorism after the Taliban captured Kabul.
