Iranian Ambassador calls on CM Balochistan, discuss trade cooperation

Shiite News: In this meeting, Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam explained the vision of the government of Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian regarding the promotion of cooperation with neighboring countries, including Pakistan, and said that the promotion of trade with Pakistan is one of our top priorities.

He said that the two countries have to promote contacts and coordination at the federal and provincial government levels to remove obstacles in trade transactions.

The Iranian ambassador extended an invitation to Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Chief Minister Balochistan, to visit Iran, which he gladly accepted.

In this meeting, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti pointed to the long-standing relations and strong public relations between the two neighboring countries and said that “Iran and Pakistan have stood by each other at every opportunity”.

Mir Sarfaraz Bugti while welcoming the Iranian ambassador’s visit to Quetta said that his government is committed to increase the volume of bilateral trade with Iran and prevent smuggling along the common borders.

He also promised to solve the problems faced by Iranian drivers carrying goods to the border areas. Chief Minister Balochistan said that he will soon visit Iran along with a high-level provincial delegation.
