34 terrorists of banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi arrested from Lahore

Shiite News: A plan to target a government building in Lahore, the capital of Punjab province, was foiled. According to details, in view of the concerns of terrorism, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested 34 terrorists during 242 IB operations in different cities of Punjab.

In this regard, operations were carried out in Lahore, Bahawalnagar, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Rawalpindi. CTD also carried out operations in Sargodha, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujrat and Rahim Yar Khan.

The CTD spokesperson said that 11 dangerous terrorists from various banned organizations were also arrested, from whose possession explosives and materials for making suicide jackets were recovered. These terrorists wanted to target a government building in Lahore.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 4 terrorists were killed during a clash between the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and terrorists in the Pillai Shah Kot area of Malakand. Sources said that there was an exchange of fire between the CTD and the terrorists for several hours, in which 3 terrorists were killed on the spot. However, during this, one terrorist escaped into the mountain range and a search operation was conducted throughout the night to arrest him.

CTD sources said that this escaped terrorist clashed with security forces at Zalmakot early in the morning. During this, he was killed and the forces cleared the area, after which the bodies of the terrorists were shifted to DHQ Hospital Batkhela. The terrorist group was wanted in most of the cases of murder, robbery and extortion.
