Iranian Parliament approves bill on legal assistance to Pakistan
Shiite News: Iranian Parliament has passed a bill on legal assistance in civil and commercial matters with Pakistan.
In an open session of Iran’s parliament on Wednesday, the bill was reviewed based on the report of the Judicial and Legal Commission, and representatives approved it.
According to the annexure to the bill, it contains an introductory note and 16 articles, which highlight various aspects of legal assistance between the two countries.
Recall that MLAT is an agreement concluded between two or more countries for the purpose of gathering and exchanging information for the enforcement of public or criminal laws.
This convention is particularly used in criminal cases where the suspect resides in another country and is formally required to be questioned.
