MQM concern over Zakat & Fitra collection of banned outfits in Karachi

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Coordination Committee have deplored the unjustified action taken by the Rangers against the MQM

workers on the what they said the fake pretext of forcible collection of Fitra at a time when religious organization, religious cum political parties, even the banned outfits are openly collecting the Zakat and fitra donations in the Karachi as well as in the entire nook and corner of the country.

While, collecting Zakat and Fitra has been made a cognizable offence for the political MQM workers. They said not a single incident of arresting other parties workers has so far been reported even banned terrorist outfits openly collecting Zakat and Fitra donations from Karachi.

They warned that the MQM or its welfare organization KKF can never be crushed through these planned conspiracies and

ill tactics. They said that MQM office-bearers and workers are being arrested in large numbers and fake cases are being framed

against them.

They appealed to the ‘Human Rights Organizations’ to use their good offices against this gore injustice and raise

their voices at the national and international level.

The Zakat and Fitra donations and Sacrifical animal hides are the MQM’s main source of financial fundings. The recent act of Rangers to stop the MQM’s collection of Fitra and Zakat badly affected the MQM’s which enjoys the large support in Pakistan’s commercial capital Karachi.
