UNGA passes a resolution against Israeli occupation of Palestine
Shiite News: As many as 124 countries voted in favor of the resolution in the United Nations General Assembly, while 12 countries opposed it and members of 43 countries did not participate in the voting.
The resolution called for Israel to withdraw its presence from Gaza and the occupied West Bank within one year.
Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, called the adoption of the resolution a “shameful decision” and alleged that such measures are diplomatically supporting terrorists in Palestine.
He said that instead of demanding the 101 hostages of Israel and the anniversary of the October 7 massacre, the General Assembly is now supporting the actions of terrorists.
