Chehlam of Imam Hussain (AS) observed with devotion throughout Pakistan

Shiite News: Procession of Alam and Zhuljinnah held across the country, mourning offered to the martyrs.

Security arrangements have been made in various parts of the country including Karachi to make the Chehlam processions peaceful. The streets around the procession routes been blocked with containers.

Mobile phone service suspended in various areas and double riding of motorcycles also been banned. In view of the law and order situation, a red alert has been issued across Sindh.

In Lahore, more than 5,000 police personnel have been assigned for the security of 40 Majlis and 12 funeral processions.

Two central processions held in Peshawar in connection with Imam Hussain’s (AS) Chehlum.

The Jaloos Alam and Zuljinnah was started from Imam Bargah Akhundabad from Nobjoori Kohati while the second procession start from Kocha Risaldar Qisa Khwani.

In Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, the main procession of Chehlam will take place from Mominabad Imambargah Alamdar Road.

5000 personnel of police, BC and FC have been deployed to protect the procession, the route of the procession is being monitored by CCTV cameras.

The procession reached Behesht Zainab Hazara Cemetery through traditional routes and end.
