Special: Social media a weapon of religious hatred, what is the solution?
Shiite News: Social media, especially Facebook, is being used as a weapon to spread religious hatred in Pakistan.
During Muharram, on the one hand, there are bans on organizing Majalis and mourning processions and false cases are registered, at the same time, followers of the School of Ahl al-Bayt are also harassed on social media.
Law enforcement agencies, especially FIA Cyber Crime Wing and CTD, have taken steps to prevent such incidents and conducted strict monitoring, yet several incidents have arisen.
According to the Interior Department’s report based on increasing incidents of sharing hateful content on social networking websites, several incidents of sharing hateful content on social media have been reported before Muharram this year. The highest number of cases were reported.
In the past, a resolution demanding action against elements spreading religious hatred on social media was passed in the Punjab Assembly, in which it was said that the number of people spreading religious hatred on social media increases during Muharram.
Immediate action should be taken against such elements. In recent days, from 3rd to 17th of Muharram, 23 Shiite youths and two Sunnis have been charged with insulting in different districts of the country.
Two cases were registered in Sargodha, Tandwala Yar, Tando Adam, Dadu Nawabshah, Chakwal, and Mirpur Khas.
This year there has been an increase in the incidents of insults. There is a need to create awareness among our youth through Majalis and social media that beliefs have their place and the life of society are two separate realities, which need to go hand in hand.
The consciousness of our youth should be raised, insulting phrases are not the reason for the development of religion and Shiism.
There can be no compromise on the protection of one’s beliefs such as Wilayat Ameerul Momineen, it is part of our faith, but it is an order of religion to avoid using insulting words about others’ elders or something that really hurts.
There is a law in our country to prevent such sad incidents and then action should be taken under this law. But some elements misuse this law under the guise of it.
That is, if it is interpreted, is this content really based on insult or not? The Shiites do not accept anyone who opposes or fights against the Ahl al-Bayt, while on the other hand, those who fight against the Ahl al-Bayt are accepted.
Thus, it will be an insult for one religion and it will not be considered an insult for another. This means that one sect cannot impose its interpretation or ideology on another.
Therefore, if someone has expressed his belief and he is not in the stage of insults, then it cannot be considered as blasphemy.
Regarding the misuse of law, it has happened many times that in some FIRs, tens of people gathered in a police station on a complaint and pressured the SHO, and as a result, a case was registered.
The issue of cases on religious grounds is very sensitive, its mechanism should be such that FIR is not done easily on any accused or by putting pressure on any police officer, but a thorough investigation should be done. Action should be taken against those who file false FIR.
As an FIR was filed against a religious scholar that the person he spoke about in the address refers to such a person, so it is insulting. Who gave you the right to assume this meaning from yourself that you derive it from yourself?
One thing is clear that insulting the holy things of any religion is forbidden and not allowed among the Shiites. Disagreements are expressed in an academic manner, but insults are not allowed.
When we do not insult anyone, we cannot allow anyone to insult.
There are people of both Shia and Sunni sects living in the dear country, we have to respect all the common sanctities here.
Among the Shiites, imitation is the most important practice, so that the young mujtahids follow the fatwa and do not do such things that insult the sacred things of others. Spread the message of Muslims
