We will not tolerate obstruction in Muharram meetings and processions, Allama Sajid Naqvi

Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi says that the authorities should issue measures to make the holding of meetings, gatherings and processions in Muharram-ul-Haram with freedom without hindrance.

The days of Muharram and Safar-ul-Muzaffar should also be declared as load-shedding-free days so that not only the devotees can pay their respects to the martyrs of Karbala in a full way but also this process can prove helpful in defeating terrorism and sabotage.

Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi drew the attention of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif through separate letters about the important issues of the upcoming holy month of Muharram 1446 AH and Safar-ul-Muzaffar.

All over the world, like the world of Islam, in Pakistan as well, all Muslims including people of other religions, regardless of religion and creed, pay their respects to the Imam of Humanity, the grandson of the Prophet (PBUH) and his companions in their own way.

To commemorate him, in this regard, in different ways, congregations, meetings, processions are organized in the whole country.

It should be ensured that congregations, meetings, processions are held freely.

From 1st of Muharram to 10th of Muharram, special programs on electronic media should freely aired.
Special columns, articles and supplements (special editions) on print media should be maintained.

Any type of limitation should be avoided in this regard.

Electricity transmission system should be ensured and efficient during the days of Muharram.

The nefarious aims of terrorists and saboteurs should also be thwarted.
