Allama Sajid Naqvi for advance measures to avoid sudden calamities
Shiite News: The Head of Shia Ulema Council Pakistan, Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, expressed concern over the recent rains and regretted the loss of life and property.
He said that the advance measures that should be taken to deal with sudden disasters are not taken, despite the awareness of climate change and despite the warning of modern systems and technology, business life in cities is repeatedly paralyzed or cities like Gwadar are submerged again.
Despite the awareness of climate change, there are insufficient arrangements to deal with administrative emergencies in big cities.
All cities including Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta should be re-administered and measures should be taken. The damage can be minimized by taking precautionary measures.
It is true that heavy rains or other sudden disasters come from nature, but for the protection of people’s life and property, it is the duty of the federal and provincial governments as well as the local administration to make advance arrangements.
