We don’t want a wider war with Iran: White House

The administration of President Joe Biden says it believes a single drone was responsible for targeting US service members in Jordan over the weekend.

US national security spokesman John Kirby also told the MSNBC TV news channel that talks to release captives in Gaza have been “constructive” and the US sees a framework for another deal.

“We don’t want a wider war with Iran. We don’t want a wider war in the region, but we gotta do what we gotta do,” Kirby said. “We certainly know Iran is backing these groups. … We are taking it very seriously.”
