Iranian Ambassador in Kabul visit to Islamabad
Shiite News: The Iranian Ambassador in Kabul and the special representative of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Afghan affairs, Hasan Kazmi Qomi, has met with the caretaker foreign minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Jalil Abbas Jilani and the special representative of Pakistan for Afghan affairs, Asif Durrani.
In this regard, in one of his messages released on social media, Hassan Kazmi Qomi wrote that in continuation of Iran’s regional efforts to help the Afghan people, he met with Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani in Islamabad, Pakistan.
Hasan Kazmi Qumi wrote that I also met with Asif Durrani, Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Affairs and several other officials.
The Iranian Ambassador in Kabul emphasized that the peace and stability of the region depends on the peace and stability in Afghanistan and what can help in establishing this peace are regional initiatives.
He wrote that in this regard, we have agreed with our Pakistani counterparts that Afghanistan’s neighboring countries will establish the core regional coordination group for Afghanistan and present a package of constructive proposals to the caretaker government of Afghanistan. He stressed that the contact group and its agenda could be expanded.
