MWM Chief says US embassy hired outlawed terrorists to sabotage Shia Sunni unity
Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, secretary general of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen has said that United States’ embassy in Pakistan was involved in anti-Shia terrorism in Pakistan.
Speaking at a press conference at Lahore Press Club on Friday, he said, that the U.S. embassy and consulates hired outlawed terrorist groups to sabotage Shia-Sunni unity in Pakistan.
He recalled that federal interior minister Rehman Malik also admitted that banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and outlawed Sipah-e-Sahaba had sabotaged Youm-e-Ishq-e-Rasool (SAWW) on September 21.
“Stop genocide of and crackdown on Shia Muslims otherwise we shall surround the government headquarters and U.S. embassy and consulates till these two goals are attained,†he warned. He demanded that the arrested innocent Shias should be released and the terrorists involved in targeted murders of Shias be arrested forthwith.
Allama Jafri said that the reason behind intensification of genocide and launching a crackdown on Shiites was the fact that Shia Muslims staged peaceful protest against the U.S.-made anti-Islam blasphemous film Innocence of Muslims.
“Ali Raza Taqvi, a member of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen sacrificed his life for the sake of sanctity of Prophet of Islam Hazrat Muhammad peace be upon him, while registering a peaceful protest at U.S. Consulate in Karachi,†he said.
He condemned the murders of Shias including those martyred during last 72 hours in Karachi and Quetta.
