Who was Mohsin e Millat, commentator of the Qur’an, Sheikh Mohsin Najafi?

The commentator of the Quran, Mohsin e Millat Sheikh Mohsin Ali Najafi passed away at the age of 86 years.
His services for the Nation were immense, Jamiat-tul-Kausar, Hadi TV Channel and Tafsir Quran are among outstanding works.

He was born on 1938 in Manthokha village of Kharmang Tehsil in Skardu-Baltistan, Northern region of Pakistan.
After primary education, for higher education, he visited Hoza Ilmiya Najaf, Iraq in 1966, where he learned modern sciences from prominent teachers of that time.
He was one of the students of Hazrat Ayatollah Seyyed Abu Qasim Al-Khoei and Shaheed Sadr in the Hoza Ulmiya Najaf Ashraf.
Therefore, at the time of his return home, Ayatollah Khoi appointed him as his lawyer.
During his studentship in Najaf Ashraf, he wrote a book in the Arabic language, “Al-Nahj al-Sawi fi Ma’an al-Mawli wa Wali” from which one can estimate his academic ability and access to the Arabic language.

Sheikh Mohsin Najafi returned to his homeland Pakistan in 1974 and he resolved to educate his nation.
Despite extreme difficulties, he started his journey from Islamabad and very soon spread education and address welfare issues in remote areas of Pakistan.
Instead of living in palaces and big houses, he preferred to live a very simple lifestyle in a corner of his school Jamia Ahle Bait in Islamabad.
In welfare matters, 11000 houses were built for the 2005 earthquake victims and the 2010 flood victims without discrimination.
He never discriminated on the basis of religion. He always respected humanity. That is why there is never any kind of hateful content in his writings, or speeches.
During the last 40 years, along with his academic services, he has rendered many fundamental and valuable services for the nation of Pakistan in the welfare and social fields as well.
The translation of the Holy Quran, which was published under the name of Balag Al-Qur’an, and became very popular in the academic circles, Tafsir al-Kawsar Qur’an, which consists of ten volumes.
Tens of permanent compilations, works and translations of many books in Arabic and Urdu on various topics were also the services to the Education System of Pakistan.
Intermediate Colleges, Technical Colleges, Paramedical Colleges, Middle and Primary Schools have been established and scholarships have been issued to hundreds of poor and deserving students who are intelligent and outstanding.
Madrasahs were established for male and female students
One of the madrasas is Jamiat-tul-Kauser which holds a high place among the religious madrasas of Pakistan where there are facilities for higher religious education as well as traditional education.
Hundreds of graduates from here have honed their skills in academic circles at home and abroad. Hundreds of students have obtained MPhil and PhD degrees.
He served the suffering humanity under the Hussaini Foundation. And taken the lead in the immediate relief and welfare measures of the suffering humanity on natural calamities and human tragedies.
