Allama Ramzan Toqeer calls on Iranian Consul General

Shiite News: Central Vice President of Shia Ulema Council of Pakistan, Allama Muhammad Ramzan Toqeer, met Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hussain Maliki at Iran Consulate Peshawar.

On this occasion, the spokesperson of Iran Consulate Peshawar Ali Banafsh Khawa was also present.

In the meeting, the improvement of Pakistan-Iran relations, the situation of Palestine and especially the problems of pilgrims and the ease of obtaining pilgrimage visa were discussed.

Allama Muhammad Ramzan Tauqeer while talking praised the friendly and diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Iran and said that Iran is a neighbor and sincere friend of Pakistan and the diplomatic relations are also commendable.

The Pakistani people fully supported Iran’s position on the Palestinian issue, saying that Iran is the only Islamic country that has openly supported the oppressed Palestinians and the Hamas organization and provided all kinds of support.

He said that the people of Pakistan paid tribute to the Iranian people and the government. They strongly condemned Israel’s aggression and cruelty by organizing protests, rallies and gatherings across the country.

Allama Muhammad Ramzan Toqeer informed the Consul General and other officials of Iran Consulate in Peshawar about the problems and difficulties of pilgrims that the pilgrims of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa face a lot of difficulties in obtaining visas and especially Khyber in the border districts of Punjab with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Pilgrim caravans from Pakhtunkhwa and Dera Ismail Khan are shared, so the border districts of Punjab should be given visa facilitation and concessions along with pilgrim caravans from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hussain Maliki while appreciating the feelings and sentiments of the Pakistani people on the Palestine issue with the desire for further improvement in Pakistan-Iran relations, said that the Pakistani people have also openly condemned Israel’s aggression and inhumanity.

Hussain Maliki expressed his concerns regarding some Karwan Salars, however, he assured full cooperation in obtaining the visa.
