Shiite News: Special Assistant to Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan and leader of MWM Ilyas Siddiqui has said in a statement that a lot of injustice has been done to Gilgit in the recent census.

He said that while living here, using the resources here, thousands of people have registered themselves in their native areas, due to which the population of Gilgit has decreased by 35,000 people compared to 2017.

Therefore, during the recent census, those who declared themselves citizens of Gilgit, jobs and wheat, flour quota should be given only to them.

The families who have registered in their native areas while living in Gilgit should also get jobs and facilities like wheat and electricity from there.

Ilyas Siddiqui said that those responsible for the recent decrease should conduct a census again to count the people living in Gilgit. Legal action should be taken against whoever refuses.

Enrollment in native areas using resources of Gilgit is a serious injustice to Gilgit, it will create major problems in construction and development of Gilgit city and acquisition and distribution of resources.

On the other hand, Allama Sheikh Fida Mazahiri laid the foundation stone of the second phase of the construction of the mausoleum of martyr Allama Muhammad Nawaz Irfani from Parachinar.

On this occasion, Secretary Anjuman Hussainiya Inayat Ali Turi, Chairman Ziarat Committee Haji Jawad Hussain Bangash along with members, President of Scholars Federation Karbala Imran Ali and other national leaders were also present.
