Pope Francis representative meets Allama Shabbir Maithami

Shiite News: The representative of Pope Francis for Interfaith World Dialogue and Harmony in South Asia, Prof Sobels Anzilam Sizormi met with the Central Secretary General of the Shia Ulema Council Pakistan, Allama Dr. Shabbir Hasan Maythmi. Zahid Ali Akhonzada, Central Information Secretary of Shia Ulema Council of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Kazmi, President of Liaison Council Islamabad and religious scholar Sheikh Sajid Raza were also present in the meeting.

Prof. Sizormi conveyed the message of inter-faith harmony to Quaid-e-Millat Jafaria Pakistan Hazrat Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi with blessings, and emphasized on removing inter-faith misunderstandings through dialogue, and declared it indispensable for the survival of humanity.

The Central Secretary General of Shia Ulema Council of Pakistan Allama Dr. Shabbir Hasan Maythmi appreciated the efforts of Pope Francis for world peace and expressed the hope that the spirit of mutual respect between religions will be promoted while describing inter-religious harmony as the need of the hour.

He said that through world peace and inter-religious dialogue, there will be an opportunity to understand the religions closely in the right direction.

Central Secretary General of Shia Ulema Council of Pakistan Allama Dr. Shabbir Hasan Maithmi thanked the representative sent by Pope Francis for interfaith harmony in Pakistan and also assured full cooperation for interfaith harmony.

The two representatives also discussed the global religious and political situation and also called the promotion of inter-religious harmony as the need of the hour regarding their effects on the people.
