World renowned host, and director Zia Mohiuddin passes away

Shiite News: Zia Mohiuddin, the world famous host, voice artist and director, died in Karachi at the age of 92 years.

Recently, Zia Muhyiddin was admitted to the hospital due to fever and severe stomach pain, where after ultrasound, it was found that there was a defect in his intestine, on which his intestine was operated.

After the operation, Zia Mohiuddin was shifted to the intensive care ward of the hospital, where he died during treatment on Monday.

The funeral prayers of Zia Mohiuddin were performed at Yasrib Mosque and Imambargah of Defense Phase 4, Karachi.

People belonging to different walks of life participated in his funeral prayers. Zia Mohiuddin was born on June 20, 1931 in Faisalabad.

In recognition of his services, Zia Mohiuddin was awarded “Sitara-e-Imtiaz” in 2003 and “Hilal-e-Imtiaz” in 2012 by the government.

In 2004, Zia Muhyiddin founded the National Academy of Performing Art in Karachi and remained the head of this institution till the last moments of his life.
