New Iranian consul general visits Mazaar-e-Iqbal
Shiite News: Mehran Movahhedfar, newly appointed Consul General in Lahore of the Islamic Republic of Iran, began his duties in Lahore by laying a wreath at the mausoleum of the national poet Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal.
Consul General recited Fatiha and prayed at the shrine of Allama Iqbal. Mian Iqbal Salahuddin, grandson of Allama Iqbal, was also present on this occasion along with Consul General Mehran.
After recitation of Fatiha, the Iranian Consul General while talking to the media said that today I am very happy that I have visited the tomb of national poet, philosopher, Muslim thinker and the dreamer of an independent country of Pakistan.
He said that Islamic Republic of Iran and Islamic Republic of Pakistan have a common chapter of deep and historical relations.
Mehran Movahhedfar, the new consul general appointed in Lahore of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while attending Mazar-e-Iqbal, also expressed his happiness that today is a very happy day for him that he is present at Mazar-e-Iqbal.
