MWM decides to deny vote of confidence to CM Punjab
Shiite News: Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen (MWM) has decided to deny the vote of confidence to Chief Minister (CM) Punjab, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi due to difference on a number of issues.
MWM Member Punjab Assembly Syeda Zahra Naqvi will not vote of confidence to Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi.
The decision of not to give a vote of confidence to the Chief Minister of Punjab has been made in the light of the instructions of the party leadership.
Spokesperson MWM said in a statement to the media that the Chief Minister of Punjab should abandon his biased approach, condemns favoring certain schools of thought and ignoring other schools of thought.
It is unacceptable to ignore Shia and Ahle Sunnah in the Punjab Auqaf Department, Muttahida Ulema Board Punjab and Punjab Quran Board.
MWM spokesman further said that the present government of Punjab is also showing the behavior of PML-N, the end of unjustified cases against mourners, the end of unconstitutional restrictions on assemblies and processions has not been made possible yet.
The spokesperson said that MWM can also reconsider its decision if Chief Minister Punjab changes his attitude.
The spokesman said that this decision of the political cell of MWM has been taken in the context of the wider interest of the Shia school.
It should be noted that Chairman PTI Imran Khan and other leaders have also been informed about this decision of MWM’s Political Council and they have assured to take immediate notice of the issues.
