Allama Shahenshah Naqvi lays foundation stone of state-of-art hospital in Karachi
Shiite News: The foundation stone of a state-of-the-art medical facility was laid in Gulistan Johar area of Karachi, which after its completion will provide world-class medical facilities to nearly one hundred thousand needy patients every year.
Imamia Medics International, Baqir Health and Education Welfare Trust and Zaidi Abid Foundation America in collaboration will complete the construction of the University Medical Complex in Karachi within 7 years.
While an immediate expenditure of one billion rupees is required for the completion of its 150-bed first phase, this project will provide free treatment to 1 million patients annually while belonging to middle and low income families.
Around 80 thousand patients will be provided modern medical facilities at very cheap rates.
Addressing the ceremony as the guest of honor, prominent religious scholar Allama Syed Shahenshah Hussain Naqvi said that the project is in accordance with Islamic teachings and values because serving the suffering and sick humanity without discrimination is the best form of worship.
He appealed to the philanthropists of the Muslim Ummah living all over the world to come forward and lend their hands for the completion of this project as soon as possible.
On this occasion, Allama Shahenshah Naqvi announced a donation of 500 thousand rupees for the construction of the University Medical Complex.
Dr. Hussain Mehdi of Baqir Health and Education Welfare Trust said that this project will fulfill the dreams of like-minded doctors from Pakistan, through which they want to make the latest medical facilities available to every class in Pakistan.
He said that this project has to be fully adopted by every suffering Pakistani so that modern treatment facilities are available to every patient in Pakistan.
Dr. Dilbar Saeed of Imamia Medics International said that the new project will have all the latest medical facilities that a large world-class hospital should have.
He said that Hospital being established in Gulistan Johar area of Karachi because very soon this area will be considered as a center of Karachi and a large number of patients will be able to be treated with the facilities in such an area.
He said that in the new hospital, separate departments of emergency services for adult and minor patients will work 24 hours a day.
He said that the hospital will provide special services for the health of cancer patients, women and girls.
He said that Imamia Medics International’s medical services and other welfare activities in Pakistan have been going on for the last 30 years, while recently thousands of flood-affected patients were treated free of charge.
He said that the University Medical Complex will serve all the patients without any preference.
Syed Zeeshan Shah, Pakistan’s special ambassador for investment, expressed hope that the project would be a milestone in the general provision of world-class medical facilities in Pakistan.
He announced a donation of Rs 50 million for the project. Dr Shabia Zaidi who is the Chancellor of Sadiq International Virtual University also expressed hope that the upcoming project will play a prominent role in providing modern medical facilities to the poor sections of the country.
Eminent religious scholar Allama Razi Jafar Naqvi expressed his best wishes to those working for the project and announced a donation of Rs 500 thousand for its completion.
