Shiite News: Vice Chairman of Majlis Wahdat Muslim (MWM) Pakistan Allama Syed Ahmad Iqbal Rizvi has said in a statement that MWM fully support the peaceful protest and demands of Kissan Ittehad in the federal capital Islamabad.

These include the abolition of additional tax on electricity, restoration of subsidy on tubewell units, reduction in fertilizer prices, supply of quality seeds, and availability of affordable pesticides from cultivation to harvest. The huge expenses incurred have broken the back of the farmers. The demands of Kisan Ittihad are legitimate and based on reality.

He has said that the government should answer that which of the demands of the farmers are illegal due to which the negotiations have failed and the farmers have been forced to stage a dharna for seven days.

Whether the farmer should support themself in this back-breaking inflation or grow grain for the country when the cost of the crop will be more than the income, how will the farmer give priority to growing the crop?
Therefore, the government should accept the demands of the farmers immediately and redress their grievances.
