Alizai and Gedo tribes reach a peace treaty at the cost of more than a dozen lives
Shiite News: The Pewar dispute has ended after claiming more than a dozen lives a settlement has been made between Alizai and Gedo tribes of District Kurram, KP, before the Jirga.
According to the Jirga sources, a temporary peace treaty has been appeared between the above-said tribes just for a month ceasefire, while a Jirga will be formed consisting of 20 members for durable peace, which will start its work from Saturday.
The Jirga was addressed by MNA Sajid Tori, MNA Fakhar Zaman, Haji Sardar Hussain, Haji Bakht Jamal, Haji Abid Hussain, Haji Salim Khan, and other elders who welcomed the ceasefire.
This is to remember that on 23rd October 2021 during an incident of firing between Alizai and Gedo tribes 16 people were shot dead just because of a dispute for a forest.
