Punjab Police announces security plan for Yom-e-Ashura

Shiite News: IG Punjab police, Inam Ghani presided a video linked conference regarding security arrangement during Muharram Al Harm in the province. On this occasion IG was briefed that 9366 mourn processions and 35,983 mourn gatherings will be held throughout during holy month and more than 160 thousand police officials and volunteers would be deployed to provide them security.

IG Punjab said that sensitive and A categories procession and majalis would be arranged under 4 layers security while snipers will be deployed on high rise building of the routes of processions and plain clothes commandos will deployed at Majalis and Jaloos.

He added that Laud Speaker act would be followed strictly while quick action will be taken on publication or promotion of provoking stuff. Central processions of 9th and 10th Muharram will be monitored with drone cameras. Sniffer dogs and metal detectors will be used on the routes of sensitive procession for scanning and checking while lady constables along with lady volunteers will be deployed for checking and security of women mourn gatherings.
