Imamia Jirga meeting held in KP for Muharram arrangements

Shiite News: National meeting of Imamia Jirga of KP was held at Markazi Shia Jama Masjid at Kocha Risaldar, Peshawar for the arrangements of Muharram Al Haram and Chehlum-e-Imam Hussain Alaih Salam, which was presided by Brigadier ( R) Sirtaj Qazalbash while a large number of Ulema-e-Karam, Zakireen-e-Uzam, National Parties’ representatives, Imamia Jirga Councilors, heads and members of Masajid committees, Muharram Committee Peshawar, All member trusties of Imambargahs in Peshwar, Khumdam-wa-License Holders of Azadari Processions, Leaders and members of Mourn Groups from Mardan, Haripur, Kohat, Hingo, Lucky Marwat, Banu, Risalpur, Mansehra, Nowhera Feroz, Khanpur, Ghazi, Terbela and Peshawar attended the meeting.

On this occasion Brigadier (Retd.) Sirtaj Qazalbash said that in the light of national and international scenario it was to be remembered that upcoming Muharram Al Harram will be very sensitive and we would have maintain religious harmony with all the sects through Azadari-e-Syed-ul-Shuhdaa.

He urged Trusties of Imambargahs to start and wind up all strictly with in scheduled time while Ulema and Zakireen narrate philosophy of Martyrdom of Imam Hussain Alaih Salam by keep the dignity of the holy pulpit. He also emphasized students’ organizations and scouts groups to perform duties for security arrangements and keep hawk eyes on every person who attend the procession.

He further said that emergency control room of Imamia Jirgha would be functional during mourn period to tackle any challenge. He added that we were peaceful community and never tried to violate law but no compromise on Azadari-e-Imam Hussain Alaih Salam would be acceptable, all the rituals will be followed as previous years. He also demanded government to ensure fool proof security arrangement in sensitive districts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
