Mufti Aziz-ur-Rehman arrested along with his sons for sexually abusing students in a madrassa
Shiite News: Punjab Police arrested Mufti Aziz-ur-Rehman the main leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and close associate of Maulana Fazlur Rehman from Mianwali and his three sons were arrested from Lahore. Mufti Aziz-ur-Rehman escaped from Lahore during the raid in search of save heaven.
According to Lahore Police Spokesperson Arif Rana, on June 17, 2021, his student Sabir Shah had lodged an FIR against Mufti Aziz-ur-Rehman, his three sons and two unidentified persons at North Cantonment Police Station, Lahore while Aziz-ur-Rehman Mianwali had fled.
“Mufti Aziz-ur-Rehman and his three sons have been arrested,” SSP, CIA Shoaib Khurram Janbaz told reporters. Mufti’s three sons, Altaf-ur-Rehman, Atiq-ur-Rehman and Atta-ur-Rehman, were arrested by a CIA team in the Model Town and Kent areas, according to SSP, CIA.
IG Punjab Inam Ghani confirmed his arrest on his Twitter account. The video of ‘Unnatural Offences’ with Sabir Shah went viral on social media a few days ago.
In his FIR, Sabir Shah, a resident of Swat, stated that Mufti Aziz-ur-Rehman had accused him and another student in 2013 of violation of examination rule and the federation banned them taking exams in madrassas for 3 years.
According to the statement, Mufti Aziz-ur-Rehman told him that if he commence unnatural activity with him and made him happy, then he could think.
The statement further said that since then, Mufti Aziz-ur-Rehman has been harassing and blackmailing him.
Sabir said that he also complained to the madrassa but was told that it could not happen. Following this disappointment, he dared to make videos and sent Maulana Hanif Jalandhari, the Nazim-e-Ala of the Federation of Arab Madrassas, as evidence. Later, Mufti Aziz-ur-Rehman threatened to kill him.
According to the statement, Sabir Shah said that a few days ago, when his video went viral, he got scared and as a result, he made a video in which he bagged for help otherwise express intentions of suicide.
Mufti Aziz-ur-Rehman was then dismissed by the management and superintendent of the madrassa on June 3, 2021.
